PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

The group calls itself "Knit One, Pray Too" and their gift is love. They meet at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings to make prayer shawls, gifts that are intended to enable recipients to feel the love of God wrapped around them. Dozens have been made and given away already. If you'd like to be a part of this ministry, you're welcome to join them and if you don't know how to knit but would like to learn, they'll teach you. For more information, call the church office at 232-3374 or by e-mail at scott@wyattparkcc.org. Team Leader: Deedie Killgore

OUT OF THE DARKNESS

Out of the Darkness is a support group for people who have lost a loved one to suicide.  Facilitated by Senior Pastor Scott Killgore (who has lost three loved ones to suicide), the group meets at the church on the second Thursday of each month, at 6:30 PM. Some meetings include guest speakers and all meetings are filled with an atmosphere of love, care, and understanding. The loss of someone to suicide brings with it an experience of grief that is unique - unique because the loved one chose to die.

For more information, contact Scott Killgore at 816-232-3374, or by email at scott@wyattparkcc.org.

HOSPITAL MINISTRY

The Hospital Ministry Team is made up of caring people who desire to share the love of Jesus Christ by ministering to the sick. Each week, team members visit church members and others who are hospitalized. The visit includes friendly conversation along with prayers and God's Word. Volunteers are trained for the ministry, but the number one qualification is a loving heart and caring spirit.

For more information contact the church office at 816-232-3374 or by email at scott@wyattparkcc.org.  Team leader: Rod Quigley

SHUT-IN MINISTRY

The Shut-In Ministry Team visits homebound members of the congregation who still need to experience the love of Christ, but are unable to leave their places of residence.  Team members visit with them on a regular basis, enabling those who are shut in to maintain contact with their church family. Team members are trained for the ministry, but the primary qualification is a caring spirit and a desire to build a relationship with a homebound person.

For more information, contact the church office at 816-232-3374 or by email at scott@wyattparkcc.org.   Team leader: Doyle Farmer
