Sermon Series on CD
Several sermon series are available on CD.  Below are summaries of some of those that have become favorites. To obtain a copy, simply stop by or call the church office, 232-3374.
(January 2007) There are some tough issues impacting our culture. They are hotly debated, emotionally charged, and divisive. They are dividing the nation, communities, the church, and families. In this 4-part series, Scott Killgore explores a few of those issues. There is no claim to have all of the answers, but rather a desire to seek God's guidance through prayer and His inspired word, the Bible. (Cost: $4)
Part 1 - Sanctity of Life (abortion and capital punishment)
Part 2 - War
Part 3 - Homosexuality
Part 4 - Cohabitation (couples living together, outside the bonds of marriage)

(January 2008) Life sometimes presents us with challenging questions. Why do bad things happen? Why does evil exist? Why do so many good people suffer? Where is God when bad things happen? The book of Job honestly struggles with some of life's deepest questions and in this 4-part series, Scott Killgore and Jessica (Schwartz) Stan wrestle with them, too. This is not a series that promises complete answers, but by studying Job, it does promise to be honest about the questions. (Cost: $4)
Part 1 - The Questions We Ask (beginning of the story of Job)
Part 2 - Searching for Answers (Job's extended dialogue with his three friends)
Part 3 - Encountering God (Job's encounter with God)
Part 4 - Redemption (What did redemption look like for Job and what does it look like for us?)

(April 2008) Sometimes our faith presents us with ideas that are almost impossible to grasp. One of them is the Incarnation - the truth that God became flesh and dewlled among us in the person of Jesus. Related to that  is the additional claim that Jesus was both fully human and fully divine. How does that work?? How can one person be "fully" one thing and also "fully" another? Scott Killgore wrestles with this historic faith claim of the church as he explores the identity of Jesus. (Cost: $2)
Part 1 - Fully Human
Part 2 - Fully Divine

(June 2008) The existence of spiritual beings is a part of our faith tradition, but there are also popular ideas about angels that are outside the biblical witness. In this three-part series, Scott Killgore tries to sort it out. He explores basic teachings about spiritual beings, and then focuses on good angels and finally, on fallen angels (including the prince of demons, Satan). (Cost $4)
Part 1 - The Basics: What They Are
Part 2 - Good Angels
Part 3 - Fallen Angels (including Satan)

(March/April 2009) During the 2009 season of Lent, Scott Killgore, Mike Campbell, and Jessica Stan explored the "I am" statements of Jesus that are found in the Gospel of John. In each statement, Jesus makes an important claim about himself, and speaks to an important spiritual need we all have. (Cost $8)
"I am ...
(1) ... the light of the world"
(2) ... the bread of life"
(3) ... the gate for the sheep"
(4) ... the good shepherd"
(5) ... the true vine"
(6) ... the way, the truth, and the life"
(7) ... the resurrection and the life"

(July/August 2009) Journeying with Jesus: it's something we all want, but how do we know if we're on the right track? It's easy to feel alone on the journey of faith and even easier, with all of the distractions of daily living, to become disoriented and feel we have lost our way. What can we do?
In this 4-part series, Scott Killgore explores some ways to keep us "on track." Jesus is always near and his Holy Spirit is always ready to point us in the right direction. During the series, you will learn four ways to go deeper with Jesus. (Cost $4)
(1) Prayer
(2) Scripture
(3) Confession
(4) Gratitude

(August/September 2009) In much of the Protestant Church, ministry has come to be seen as a "profession," and that has led to the widely held view that much of what we call "ministry" can only be done by trained professionals. There is a problem with that view, however. It is not biblical. Scripture makes it clear that because of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ, it is God's intention that all believers be engaged in serving and in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus.
In this series, Scott Killgore explores a new way to be the church - it is a way that includes every member in ministry. (Cost $4)
(1) You're a Royal Priest (1 Peter 2)
(2) Gifts From God (1 Corinthians 12)
(3) Equipped To Serve (Ephesians 4)
The story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) is familiar, but sometimes we miss important lessons because a story is familiar. There are profound lessons to be learned from the two sons who are main characters in this story told by Jesus.
In this message series, Scott Killgore draws heavily upon the story itself, and upon a new book, The Prodigal God, by Timothy Keller. The story of each brother touches our own life stories, but there is also good news in the story of each brother - good news that also touches our lives.
Part 1: Younger Brothers
Part 2: Older Brothers

In the Fall of 2009, a member of the church observed that our three pastors - Scott, Mike and Jessica - are very different, each with a unique style and perspective. Therefore, the suggestion was made that the three of them do a message series with all of them teaching from the same text. The series is titled "Different Voices" and the text they chose is Matthew 16:13-20. They each explored the text and wrestled with Jesus' question to his disciples, "Who do you say that I am?"
Part 1:  Scott Killgore
Part 2:  Jessica Stan
Part 3:  Mike Campbell
