Daily Bible Readings Oct-Dec
 DAILY FAMILY BIBLE READINGS
Introduction

Just as we become better at a sport or with a musical instrument when we practice regularly, the same is true if we are to grow as students of God's inspired word, the Bible. We will get better with practice. These daily readings are intended to help you do that.
A short passage is selected for each day, but the passage is not printed here. The intention is that you will read it from your Bible. Along with the Bible passage, you will find a Question to Consider, and also a short Prayer that is related to the passage. The readings take you through the Bible, beginning with Genesis in January, and concluding with Revelation in December. While they are presented here in that order, you are free to use them at any time, and in any order you wish. Regardless of the time of year or the passage you choose, you will be blessed by spending time with God's Holy Scripture.
Simply click on the date range you want (i.e. October 1-5) and the document will open as a PDF file that you may print, or read from the screen. You'll need Adobe Reader to open the files, and that can be downloaded free at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
These readings are for use by anyone of any age, but they were especially chosen and written so that adults and children could read them together. In Deuteronomy 6, we read these words:

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 6:4-7, TNIV)

It is our prayer that this resource will be helpful to you and your walk with God. We also invite you to become part of a study group, or class here at the church and join with others who seek to grow in their faith. Regardless of the setting you find yourself in, you will be blessed when you spend time with the Bible.

16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17 so that all God's people may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, TNIV)
